I love being able to make presentations and teach students about engineering topics. When you're young, you're always asked what you want to be when you grow up. I believe it's important that we present to students the real world of engineering-- it's not just science and math. I hope that they can get excited about these topics and I know a lot of them already do. It's a lot of fun to see students enjoy the activities we prepare and getting curious by asking amazing questions. I hope I can visit schools and meet the students in person one day and show them how fun in-person activities and engineering can be!

Growing up, math was my favorite subject, as I really enjoyed working with numbers and thinking critically. However, when I was in middle school, I had a science class where I became fascinated by the solar system and space. As a young student, I was torn between these two areas, until a teacher of mine introduced me to aerospace engineering a few years later. This field was a combination of my two interests, and he ultimately inspired me to pursue this field in college. Being able to similarly inspire students to pursue careers in STEM is my favorite part about being an Engineering Ambassador. The work that our organization does is helping younger audiences identify careers that they are passionate about and show them that STEM is exciting and being a part of that effort is what makes me proud to be an Engineering Ambassador.

My favorite part about being an EA is witnessing and being a part of those moments of pure amazement and utter joy when a student's mind is blown away by a hands-on activity. I love seeing the spark of curiosity and ear-to-ear grin when something they built not only works but surprises them. Everyone has a reason for choosing to study engineering, and it is tremendously rewarding to know that for some kids, we might be that reason.

My favorite part about being an EA is having the opportunity to inspire and encourage younger kids to explore STEM. By giving engaging presentations on STEM topics, EAs have the power to transform a student's attitude toward STEM and help students develop confidence in their ability to pursue a career in STEM. Watching students develop excitement and curiosity about topics in STEM and gain the confidence needed to ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of a topic is truly rewarding. As an EA, you never know just how large of an impact you'll have on a student. You may ignite a spark within them that could change their life, and possibly even the world.

My favorite part of being an Engineering Ambassador is having the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of students. Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to work with many people who served as incredible mentors in my engineering career. It is my hope that I can be but a fraction as impactful as they on the younger generation, guiding them through their path to STEM. As an EA, I have been able to work with so many students from so many walks of life, and to see their enthusiasm and be a part of their discovery is a wonderful experience that I absolutely love. As a member of the board, I would like to expand these opportunities to more students, bringing fun and innovation to all.

My favorite part about being an EA is getting to empower younger students with real, tangible engineering skills, while also getting to broaden my own horizons. Whether collaborating on a presentation or project or playing intramural volleyball, EAs always enjoy spending time with fellow EAs to help them, whether academically or personally. My favorite part of being an EA is seeing a student go from not being interested in a topic at all to being fully engaged and interested in engineering within the span of an hour. Lots of kids have no idea what engineering is or the opportunities and diversity of ideas that engineering brings. Opening their minds and changing their perspectives as to what an engineer does is just as rewarding. Furthermore, I enjoy how much I learn as an EA researching and teaching topics far outside of my field.
